Freedom Of Choice Is The Issue
Contributor: John Perez
Without a doubt water fluoridation has become a popular topic of discussion in Salina. In November, the citizens will go to the polls to decide whether the process of water fluoridation by the city will cease or continue. Where do you stand on this issue?
The argument whether fluoridation is good or bad, right or wrong are moot points and are superseded by freedom of choice.
Do you truly believe in liberty and freedom of choice or do you believe in a welfare nanny state?
The term “Nanny State” refers to a government having excessive interest in or control over the welfare of its citizens.
Do you believe a government has the right to medicate a population without consent?
I realize that there are people who have no problem infringing on the rights of others and will vote to continue fluoridation. Personally I will be voting YES to repeal ordinance 9021 to cease water fluoridation in Salina and pray that freedom of choice is returned back to the people.
