Salina Crime Log September 8th

crime-report3crime-report3A Salina business loses money after cashing a check that was not real. On July 25th, Advance America at 2316 Planet Avenue cashed a check in the amount $1,350.45 on the account of A2Z Exteriors. Advance America later learned that the check was counterfeit, and did not come from the company. A police report was filed on September 5th.

A woman tells police someone broke into her 2001 Mitsubishi Montero, damaged the dash of the car and took cash. Stacey Rowe said the vehicle burglary occurred between Friday evening and Saturday morning, while the car was parked in a driveway in the 1800 block of Quincy. $100 in cash was taken. Loss and damage placed at $550.
