Salina Police are investigating an attempted robbery. A 25-year-old Salina man tells police he was waiting for a ride on the south side of Brown Mackie College at 2106 S. 9th just before 6pm Monday, when a passenger in a pickup got out and confronted him about an earlier incident. The suspect, a white male in his early 20s, 5’10, 180 lbs, tried to hit the victim in the face.
The victim fell to the ground, and the suspect demanded his wallet. He refused to give up his wallet, and the suspect, who was one of three persons in a blue Chevrolet pickup with a tool box and push bar, got back in the pickup, and left. The 25 year-old man was not injured.

Power lawn tools were taken in a burglary of a shed of a downtown Salina Church over the weekend. The door on the shed at St. John’s Lutheran Church at 302 S. 7th was pried open between Friday afternoon and Monday morning. Taken from the shed were tools that included: a Stihl string trimmer, Stihl hedge trimmer, and Stihl leaf blower. Loss and damage listed at $605.

Salina Police take a report of a stolen mini bike from the parking lot of an apartment. 51-year-old Ricky Hall tells police, that between 3am-8am on Monday, someone stole his 1980 Yamaha mini cycle from the parking area at 501 E. Crawford. The bike had no tag, and is valued at $500.
