A 27-year-old Salina was arrested early Wednesday morning on a charge damage to property, after he punched a window of a building the 600 block of N. Santa Fe.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said police went sent to a medical emergency around 1:30am in the 400 block of Inez. They found Keith Schmidt with three cuts on his hand, after he took fist and punched a 6’x 6′ window at 640 N. Santa Fe around 1am.

Sweeney said Schmidt was walking along side the building, became upset and hit the window. Schmidt who was believed to have been under the influence, was taken to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of his cuts, then arrested on the damage to property charge.

Damage to the window was listed at $800.
