The Saline County Road and Bridge Department announce that Brookville Road from State Street to Watkins Road will be closed Saturday, September 13th, and then again on Monday, September 15th, through Thursday, September, 18th, to through traffic to permit a crew from APAC-Kansas, Inc., Shears Division to place an asphalt overlay. The road will be closed to traffic each morning and then reopened to traffic each evening. Of course, completion of the project by September 18th is dependent on the weather.

Motorists are advised to seek alternate routes and allow a few extra minutes of travel time to reach their destinations. Local and emergency traffic will be provided access to private properties within the closed section of Brookville Road at all times but only from the side of the moving work zone that the properties lie upon.
