fly40915Charles H. Flynn Jr., 92, of Salina, died Monday, Sept. 15, 2014. Mr. Flynn was born Dec. 13, 1921, in St. Louis, the son of Charles H. and Barbara (Bauereis) Flynn.

He worked as a clerk with the federal government.

Charles was preceded in death by his brother, Paul K. Flynn, in 2010. Survivors include distant relatives and his family of friends at the Holiday Resort.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.

Memorials may be made to Holiday Resort of Salina in care of the mortuary.

Robert Mark Meagher, 55, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, September 17th, at his residence.

Robert was born in Salina, Kansas on December 19, 1958, son of the late Billie Jean (Henderson) and Robert Leo Meagher. He had worked in maintaince at Phillips Lighting (OCCK) in Salina.

Survivors include two sisters; Freda Meagher, of Salina and Martha Marcotte and husband, Steve, of DeSoto, Kansas; niece, Beth Marcotte, of Chicago, Illinois; nephew, Brandon and wife, Leah Marcotte, of Maple Gove, Minnesota; and great niece, Khloe Marcotte.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 19, 2014 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home.

No services are planned at this time.

della-bierman-obituaryDella Jane Bierman, 67, of Salina, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, September 16th, at Salina Regional Health Center. Della was born in Salina, Kansas on January 19, 1947, to the late
MaryJane (McGuire) and Ted Will.

Della earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Marymount College. She worked as an Intensive Care Nurse.

She was the wife of Bernie Bierman. They were married on Dec. 26, 1970 in Salina, Kansas.

Della is survived by two daughters; Angela, wife of Tyler Bogart, of Salina, and Trina, wife of Michael Dibbini, of Salina, brothers, Mike, husband of Sue Will, of Salina, Kansas, and Roger, husband of Cindy Will, of Salina, Kansas; as well as 6 Grandchildren, Evan Bogart, Jada Dibbini, Addison Bogart, Kadin Dibbini, Claire Bogart, and Blake Bogart.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Roy Will.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will be held at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Salina on Friday at 10:30 AM followed by inurnment at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.

ricky--shelton-obituaryRicky Lynn Shelton, 54, of Salina, passed away Tuesday, September 16th, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence.

Rick was born in Great Bend, Kansas on February 3, 1960 to Joyce Phyllis (Beall) Shelton and the late Raymond Dean Shelton.

He was the husband of Michelle (Jacobs) Shelton. They were married in Great Bend, Kansas on May 21, 1984. Rick worked as a truck driver. He also loved to fish and go to the lake with his family.

Survivors include his mother; wife, Michelle; son,Rambo, husband of Nohemi Shelton, of Salina, daughters, Alicia Shelton, of Salina, and Amber Shelton, of Salina; brother, Doug, husband of Shelly Shelton, of Great Bend, Kansas; sisters Melody, wife of Sam Cell, of Bazine, Kansas, Sharon, wife of Harold Wondra, of Great Bend, Kansas; as well as his grandchildren, Kyliana Shelton, Chris Orr, Jr., Rambo Shelton, Jr., Camila Shelton.

He was preceded in death by his father and brother, Michael Shelton.

Private family visitation has been held. Funeral Services will be at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, September 22nd. Interment will follow at Gypsum Hill Cemetery.
