Wet Interstate a challenge for drivers

Heavy Tuesday morning rain created some challenges for drivers in Central and Western Kansas. The National Weather Service issues a flood warning for portions of Russell, Ellsworth and Lincoln Counties.  Ellis County is also in a flood warning.  Portions of Russell and Ellis and Trego Counties reported over 2.5 inches of rain.

Just before 8:25 a.m., the Kansas Highway Patrol was dispatched to report of an accident on westbound Interstate 70 near mile marker 209 at Sylvan Grove.  One vehicle hydroplaned and hit a guardrail.
