TWO EVENTS THAT SUPPORT THE FIRST TEE OF SALINA

The annual Friends of the First Tee Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, October 11 at the Salina Municipal Golf Course. The format will be a four-person scramble with an entry fee of $75 per person that includes green fees, carts, a meal, and prizes.

On Sunday, October 11, Daran Neuschafer and Steve Hardesty will participate in The First Tee 100-hole Marathon, which includes both golfers playing 100 holes to benefit The First Tee of Salina. Pledges can be made through Daran Neuschafer’s office (827-5150) or The First Tee of Salina at the municipal course (785-826-7450).

All proceeds from both events will go to The First Tee scholarship fund and The First Tee building fund for future capital improvements. In the last ten years, 12 students from The First Tee of Salina chapter have been awarded college scholarships to attend the college of their choice.

Steve Hardesty—Executive Director of The First Tee of Salina—said, “The Salina community has supported our youth program very well for the past 15 years. Events such as these will make the future of The First Tee of Salina secure so we can help local youth for many years to come.”
