Chiefs fans gathered at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night with two things in mind. Defeat the New England Patriots and capture the “Loudest Outdoor Stadium” record once again.
Last season, Chiefs Kingdom took the record from Seattle in a Sunday afternoon game versus the Raiders with a roar of 137.5 decibels. However, Seattle fans took the record back during a playoff game later in the season with a level of 137.6.
With Guinness Book of World Records in the stadium, the fans at Arrowhead wasted no time in establishing their dominance. A sold-out stadium shattered the record in the first half with a decibel rating of 142.2.
