kevin-carter-obituary (1)Kevin Ray Carter, 54, of Salina, KS, passed away Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Kevin was born in Pratt, Kansas on September 17, 1960, son of Kathryn Sue Snell and the late Eldon Russell Carter.

He worked as a painter. He painted many Catholic Cathedrals around the state and the most noteworthy was the Victoria Catholic Cathedral in Victoria, Kansas; he loved to cook and bring the family together. He was a founding member of the Salina Disc Golf Association. His laugh was contagious.

Survivors include by his mother, Kathryn Snell of Salina; five daughters, Karlie Miller, wife of Nathan, of Salina, Kansas; Chelsey Carter, of Salina, Kansas; Cassandra Smith, wife of Travis , of Salina, Kansas; Jessica Carter, of Topeka, Kansas; Jenna Carter, of Topeka, Kansas; a son, Kasey Carter, husband of Kaytryn, of Salina, Kansas; eleven Grandchildren, Austin, Kaiden, Christian, Connor, Maci, Kinnley, Carter, Cali, Clover, Isla, Skylar; Brother, Russell Carter Jr., husband of Patty, of Salina, Kansas; Sisters, Renee Martin, of Manhattan, Kansas; Shelley Donaldson, wife of Clint, of Salina, Kansas; his forever friend Lisa Carter, of Salina, Kansas.

A Memorial Service will be held at Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, Salina, Kansas, on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 3:30 PM with Trevor Gearhart officiating.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Salina Disc Golf Association, in care of Carlson-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina, Kansas 67401.
