The I-70 Westbound Bridge located 1.5 miles east of the Ohio St Interchange (253) in Saline County, is scheduled for repairs beginning Monday, Oct. 20th. The repairs involve removing and replacing the concrete and steel connection between the bridge deck to the roadway.

The driving lane will be repaired first allowing traffic to pass through the work zone in the passing lane at a reduced rate of speed of 65 mph. Once the driving lane is completed the same process will be performed on the passing lane.

Plans call for the project to be completed and traffic to be returned to normal by Dec. 21, 2014 weather permitting.

B&B Bridge Co LLC. of St. Paul, KS, is the prime contractor for this project. Project cost is $138,638.10.
