Norma Jean (Barber) Banker, 81, Minneapolis, formerly of Hutchinson, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Ottawa County Health Center, Minneapolis. She was born April 6, 1933 in Haven, KS to Marvin S. and Wilma I. (Stroup) Barber.
Norma Jean worked for many years in the deli at Dillon’s in Hutchinson. She was a member of the Red Hat Society in Hutchinson and she was a faithful volunteer at the Friends of the Library also in Hutchinson. Norma Jean moved to Minneapolis in 2007 and she volunteered at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis until her health declined.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Mary Ann Barber.
Survivors include her son Samuel B. Banker (Pat); three grandchildren Cami, Sarah, and Sheldi Banker; brother Robert Barber; sister Freda Nickelson; cousins Julie and Jack Cole; her earthly angel Joyce Davis; and her dear friend “Mouse Meat” Darlene Andsager.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, November 18 at the Eastside Cemetery, Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 2 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Monday at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467 Memorials may be made to Ottawa County Transportation or the Friends of the Library in Hutchinson and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Virginia E. Kelley, 89, Minneapolis, died Friday, November 14, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis. She was born January 25, 1925 near Delphos to Vern and Verna (Disney) Johnson.
Survivors include her step-children Milton Kelley and Pat Anderson; step-grandchildren Kristi Hight and Paul Kelley; three step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and one niece.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, November 19 at the Wilson Family Funeral Home, 405 Argyle Ave., Minneapolis, KS 67467. Burial will be in the Delphos Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00. Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church or the Good Samaritan Society – Minneapolis and may be left in care of the funeral home.
