Nathalee “Nat” Rose Roth, 81, of Salina, died Friday, Dec. 26, 2014, in Wichita. She was born in Wichita in 1933.
Nat grew up on a farm in Trego County. She married her high school sweetheart, Milton, in 1952, in Wakeeney. The couple began their life together in Manhattan, where Milton was finishing his college degree. After graduation, the couple moved to Salina, where they were longtime residents.
In addition to raising their seven children, Nat learned to play the guitar and directed a folk choir at St. Mary’s church for 35 years. Her compassion for others led her to walk for peace, walk in remembrance of those with cancer and volunteer with Hospice of Salina. Her love for family and friends was generous and enduring. She gave to family and friends so many gifts, it is impossible to count them all.
She is survived by her husband, Milton; sister, Karol (Bob); her children, Judy Roth (Kim Morgan), Mike (Glenda) Roth, Lori Usher (Jim Ziegler), Doug (Laura) Roth, Nancy Kersenbrock, Ginny Roth (Carla Finney), and Dave Roth (Darbie Pope); seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
