For Saline County law enforcement the beginning of the new year was a quiet one. Saline County Undersheriff Dave Dunstan said the Sheriff’s Office did not make any arrest for driving under the influence.

Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney said the department had additional officers out looking for impaired drivers, and made no arrest.

Sweeney said cab companies in Salina were very busy New Years Eve taking home the revelers who had too much to drink.
