Gary L. King, 67, of Salina, died Friday, March 20, 2015. He was born Jan. 12, 1948, in Ellis, the son of Oscar W. and Dorothy E. (Reihert) King. Gary worked for Hawker Beechcraft for 46 years, retiring in 2012.

Gary is survived by his wife, Linda, of the home; three children, Sharon Wenthe and husband Jeff, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kirk Whelchel and wife Heather and Melissa Mallory and husband Aaron, all of Salina; five grandchildren, Bryce and Briann Whelchel, Kaden Sare and fiancée Ashley and Caleb and Kelsey Sare; two stepgrandchildren, Josey and Creighton Mallory; and one great-grandchild, Aaliyah Whelchel.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, March 23, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 24, at Ryan Mortuary. Burial will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tammy Walker Cancer Center.
