
A Herington man escapes serious injuries early Thursday morning after rolling his car to avoid hitting a deer.
Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Roger Soldan said 20-year-old Caden Staatz was westbound on K-4 near the intersection with Holmes Road, when he swerved to avoid the deer, his 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix went off the south side of the road, rolled, and came to rest on it’s wheels.
Staatz who was complaining of head pain, was taken by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center to be check.
Soldan said the car is a total loss.
