dav50424Tamra Ann “Tammy” Davis, 51, of Salina, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. She was born Sept. 18, 1963, in Concordia, the daughter of Clark and Patricia (Gennette) Davis.

Tammy had worked at special skills at OCCK for 30 years and had participated in Brownies as a child, Special Olympics and Special Populations in Salina and Concordia. Tammy loved ’50s music, loved to dance and always had a boyfriend. She loved to go to bingo, swimming, coloring and watching TV Land. She knew no strangers and everyone got a big hug from Tammy.

She is survived by her mother, Patty, of Salina; and her brothers, Troy Davis, of Salina, and Shawn Davis (Angie Mitchel), of Lindsborg.

There will be a Funeral Mass of Christian Celebration at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Salina. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today, April 27, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, where there will be vigil services held at 7 that evening.

kir50411Sharon L. Kirkham, 73, passed away April 11, 2015, in Mt. Ida, Ark. She was born Nov. 18, 1941, in Salina, Kan., to Wendell L. and Alvena Shirack.

Sharon was a loving wife and mother above all else. She loved the outdoors such as camping, fishing, sightseeing, and working in her flower beds or garden. She loved going dancing with her loving husband and socializing with family and friends. It was all about family her whole entire being.

Sharon was very hard-working, and loved to work crossword puzzles and loved to watch “Dancing With The Stars.”

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Kirkham Jr.; her parents; sister, Cecelia G. Carnes; stepdaughter, Lynne M. Kirkham; and grandson, Joseph C. Andrews.

Survivors include her son, William H. (Christina) Andrews, of Leesville, La.; daughter, Julia K. (Kevin) Betts, of Mount Ida; grandchildren, Brandi E. Betts, of Mount Ida, Tyler L. Betts, of Mount Ida, and Laura M. Cameron, of Lena, La.; and great-grandchild, Weston L. Harper.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Bennington Cemetery, Bennington, Kan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Children’s Hospital or St. Jude’s Research Hospital, and may be sent to or left in care of Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, KS 67401.

Helen M. Hillan, 88, of Salina, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her husband, E.E. (Bert), in 1982; three brothers; and two sisters.

Helen is survived by her son, Gary E. (Cindy) Hillan; daughter, Gaylene (Jon) Rupert; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and lifelong friends.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today, April 27, at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, at Ryan Mortuary. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina.

Danny Joe Pugh, 67, of Tescott, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2015. He was born Aug. 17, 1947, in Clay Center. His parents were Ralph and Mable Pugh.

He is survived by Marie Lee; his children, Vicki and Travis Olsen, Daniel and Amanda Lee, Dana and Mark Roets, Aaron and Amy Lee, Kelly and Kim Pugh, Marta and Lance Reese, and Summer and Chad Nowlin; 20 grandchildren; and brothers, Lynn Pugh and Gary Pugh.

His body was bequeathed to University of Kansas Medical Center. A service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at United Methodist Church, Tescott.

Memorials may be sent to Tescott Lions Club or Tescott United Methodist Church.
