A 27-year-old Salina man was the victim of internet scam.
Captain Mike Sweeney said between May 3rd and May 9th, the man purchased $2,500 worth of Pay-Pal debit cards to buy a 2007 GMC Yukon via the internet. When he was notified that he would need to send an additional $5000 for shipment of the vehicle he contacted police and learned he was a victim of a scam. Total loss was $2,500.

A Salina man wakes up Saturday morning to find electronics and cash are missing from his home. Mitchell Ness said a 40-inch flat screen TV, X-Box game system, a Samsung cell phone, and $750 in cash were missing from his home locate in the 300 block of S. 9th. No sign of forced entry into the home. Total loss is estimated at $1,650.

Police looking for a known suspect in a domestic case where the victim reports her cell phone, cash, and debit card were taken, and her car scratched. Captain Mike Sweeney said the incident began just before 9:00 pm Friday night at a east Salina home. The 27-year-old woman had bruises and scratches, but did not receive medical attention. The total value of the property taken was placed at $700.
