Salina Police and firefighters have evacuated the Galaxy Center in the 2300 block of Planet Avenue due to a gas leak caused by a vehicle that struck a gas meter.

Most of the businesses in the shopping center have been allowed to reopen with the exception of the two restaurants located in the south end of the plaza.

There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
