Beginning Monday, May 18th through Sunday, May 31st, the Salina Police Department will have an increased presence on city streets that will be focused on enforcing seat belt and child restraints laws.
The increased presence is part of the 2015 “Click It or Ticket” campaign and is paid for with a grant from the Kansas Department of Transportation.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney says that extra patrol officers will be focused on enforcing seat belt and child restraint laws as well as other traffic laws during the two week period.
