A soaking rain shower morning will leave the Salina Speedway silent again on Friday, May 15th.

As of late Thursday night, after over an inch of rain the previous night, the pits and infield had begun to dry and things looked hopeful for racing to return after a two week weather related hiatus.

That all changed Friday morning when a developing system moved in and dumped a large amount of rain on the Speedway in a short amount of time.  With an ever-changing forecast and more cloud cover there would not be enough time to dry things out, so racing will have to wait another week.

Next Friday, May 22nd, will feature the BSB Manufacturing NeSmith Late Models, 1st Class Chassis IMCA Modifieds, Xtreme Motor Sports IMCA Northern SportMods, Auto House Mod Lites, and Budweiser IMCA Hobby Stocks.  The night will once again be presented by Will Electric and Glass Masters.
