The Salina South Lady Cougars advanced to the Class 5A Regional Softball Championship at the expense of their crosstown rival, but fall one game short of a state championship berth.

South defeated the Salina Central Lady Mustangs by a score of 10-0 on Tuesday in a semi-final game played at Valley Center.  It would be South’s final victory of the season.

The Lady Cougars fell to Valley Center in the regional championship game by a score of 5-1.  South finishes the season with an overall record of 11-9.  The Lady Mustangs ended their 2015 campaign with a final overall record of 6-15.
