Special Olympic athletes, Salina Police Officers, Saline County Sheriff’s Deputies, and Kansas Highway Patrol Troopers, began the Salina leg of the Kansas Law Enforcement Torch Run Wednesday afternoon from 9th street Dairy Queen.

The run went to Ash Street, then to Santa Fe, to Claflin to Ohio and finished up at Jerry Ivey Park at Ohio and Magnolia.

The torch run will continue to Wichita where the Kansas Special Olympics competition takes place this weekend.
