A Salina woman was arrested Sunday evening on charges that included aggravated battery, after backing her car into a security guard that was trying to prevent her from driving away.

43-year-old Michelle M. Cave is alleged to have shoplifted clothing from Kohl’s, 2085 S. 9th, about 6:30 p.m.

Cave went to her car, and backed into a 33-year-old woman, and drove away before being stopped by a police officer a short distance away.

The security guard was not hurt.
