Introducing Tina Bulleigh, your BANK VI Hero of the Week!

Tina was nominated for her work with The City teen center in downtown Salina.  The City is primarily a teen entertainment center that provides games and activities to middle and high school students. Tina is currently in her 8th year as the The City’s Excel Program Director, an after school program designed to assist students with homework support.  The after school program, which reaches over 120 students from the 6th through 12th grades, also serves as a way to mentor teens in life skills as well as academics and their home and spiritual lives.  Tina says she would like to continue to build the ministry side of the program in the future.  She would also like to see the program help build community support for the USD 305 school district.

Tina previously taught at Bennington Grade School for 13 years and has a passion for educating the next generation of our community.  According to those who know her, she has a selfless heart, and has “hard feet and a soft heart” for the youth of this community.
