As Festival-goers pack their cars and little red wagons in preparation for hours of River Festival fun, a few reminders of what to bring and what to leave behind at home may be helpful.
* The Festival’s five entrance gates don’t open to the public until 10:00 a.m. this year. No general Festival attendees will be permitted before that time. No early set-up by vendors, volunteers or the public.
* Coolers with snacks and beverages are permitted. No glass containers of any kind.
* Shade umbrellas behind designated and marked sight lines only. No canopy tents of any kind anywhere in the park by the general public.
* Absolutely no pets on-grounds other than authorized, designated service animals.
* No bicycles.
* There are designated smoking areas around the park. See pgs 24-25 of the Festival Program or go to riverfestival.com/pdfs/festivalmap.pdf.
Other guest services returning to the River Festival include the Red Cross & EMS First Aid Center, a fully staffed mobile-device charging station, an ATM, Baby Station, Ident-A-Kid and Lost & Found. Shuttles from various points in the Salina Bicentennial Center parking lots to Festival grounds are wheelchair-accessible. See the Festival Program pages 24-25 or riverfestival.com/pdfs/festivalmap.pdf for guest-service locations and details.
