A Salina woman is injured after falling out of the bed of a pickup Friday evening.

Police Captain Mike Sweeney said 51-year-old Sandra Chase was riding in the bed of a pickup with three other people, when the pickup turned off Foxboro onto Kingston, she fell out of the bed of the truck.

Chase was taken by EMS to Salina Regional Health Center with head and chest injuries. The thee others in the bed of the truck were cited for improper riding.

The driver of the pickup was 40-year-old Kip Chase. There was no information on any charges on Chase. Sweeney said the investigation continues.

The incident happened about 8:30 p.m. Friday evening.
