SALINA- A Minneapolis man was injured in an accident just after 10:00 a.m. on Friday in Saline County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2014 Buick driven by Delbert D. Shamblin, 80, Portland, Oregon, was traveling southbound in the north bound lanes of U.S. 81 just before Interstate 70.

The Buick hit a Cadillac driven by Timothy W. Siegel, Minneapolis, head-on.

Siegel was transported to Salina Regional Medical Center.

Shamblin was not injured.

Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident according to the KHP.

The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a head on crash about 10:30 a.m. Friday morning in the northbound lanes of U.S. 81 at the exit ramp to westbound I-70. At least one person was injured. More information is expected to be released Friday afternoon by the KHP.

While the clean up from the wreck was taking place, a box rental truck towing a car,
lost the car off of the towing trailer as the vehicles were using the exit ramp to westbound I-70. The car traveled across

the northbound U.S. 81 entrance ramp and wound up in a field east of the northbound ramp. No one was hurt.
