A second Salina business in the same block of North Santa Fe sustains damage from gunfire.
Salina Police Captain Mike Sweeney tells the Salina Post that someone shot through a 5′ X 28 1/2″ tempered glass window in the front of Drains Plus, 701 N. Santa Fe, sometime between 4:30 p.m. July 2nd and 11:30 a.m. July 3rd.
At least one bullet went through the glass and struck the back of a wooden chair and a plastic planter. Total damage was estimated at $640.
Another business in the area was also damaged by gunfire during a similar period of time. Tony’s Services, 736 N. Santa Fe, was damaged by several shots that were fired through the front door and window between 7:00 p.m. July 2nd and 8:45 a.m. July 3rd. Two appliances, a microwave over and refrigerator, were struck by bullets in that incident. Total damage was estimated at $650.
It is not known if the two incidents are connected.
