FRIDAY MORNING UPDATE: A 35-year-old Lincoln man was treated and released from the hospital Thursday, after crashing his pickup on I-70 just west of Salina.
Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said a medical condition may have been the reason Randall E. Witte crashed his 1998 Dodge pickup while in the process of passing a semi in the eastbound lanes near mile post 247 around 10:30 a.m. The pickup struck a guardrail left the highway, flipped, and came to rest in the ditch. The truck caught fire, and other motorists pulled Witte from the pickup.
