SALINA – Two Dickinson County women were injured in an accident just after 3:00 p.m. on Thursday in Saline County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2007 Buick Lucerne driven by Carolyn J. Beech, 75, Carlton, was eastbound on Water Well Road. The vehicle failed to yield right of way and struck the drivers side of a Mack truck that was northbound on Donmyer Road.
Beech and a passenger, Laverna I. Ernst, 90, Enterprise, were both transported to Salina Regional Health Center.
The truck driver Kenneth Paul Cimler, 58, Solomon, was not injured.
The KHP reported all were properly restrained at the time of the accident.

SALINE COUNTY – First responders were dispatched to a two-vehicle injury accident at Water Well Road and Donmyer Road just after 2:45 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
The accident involved a four door sedan and a flat bed truck that transports commercial sized trash cans. The sedan sustained heavy damage and the two occupants were taken to Salina Regional Health Center.
Officials requested an emergency helicopter in case the victims needed to be transported to Wichita. The driver of the truck was not injured.
