UPDATE:

There were no serious injuries in a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon at the intersection of Ohio Street and Magnolia Road near Jerry Ivey Park.

Salina Master Police Officer Rande Repp tells the Salina Post at the scene that a Kia Sorrento driven by Amy Schaulis was eastbound on Magnolia Road, and attempted to turn north onto Ohio Street, when she collided in the intersection with a 2001 Hyundai Accent driven by Desiree Cooper.

Repp said injuries were minor and no one was transported to the hospital. He also indicated that no citations were likely to be issued in relation to the accident.

Rescue crews were at the scene of a two vehicle accident Friday afternoon at the intersection of Ohio Street and Magnolia Road.

As of 3:15 p.m, one southbound lane of Ohio and both westbound lanes of Magnolia were closed to traffic.
