The Salina Area Young Professionals and the Greater Salina Community Foundation have partnered to provide an avenue for young professionals to get involved and give back to local charities while having fun! The evening includes a silent auction with great packages up for bid, a 50/50 raffle and the ever popular Paper, Rock, Scissors Tournament.
October is a Domestic Violence Awareness Month and all proceeds from the silent auction and 50/50 raffle will go towards the Domestic Violence Association of Central Kansas (DVACK) organization to help them achieve their mission of reducing domestic violence incidents and providing support service to those affected in our region.
The Paper, Rock, Scissors Tournament is a fun, competitive way to try to win a $500 grant to a charity of your choice! Last year’s Paper, Rock, Scissors Champion chose Kansas Wesleyan University to receive the grant. This is a great way to get your non-profit support group together, have fun and compete for a $500 grant from the Greater Salina Community Foundation.
Tickets are just $10 dollars and can be purchased online at www.salinakansas.org or at the door. The food and drinks are on us and we hope young professionals and the public will join us Friday, October 2, 2015 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m/ at the Salina Art Center, 242 S. Santa Fe, to support DVACK.
