Police arrest a man Monday afternoon on a warrant charging him with burglary, theft, and forgery in connection with a June burglary.

22-year-old Samuel Mattocks of Wichita is alleged to have entered the home of James Commerford on June 19th and stole $170 in cash and three personal checks.

Mattocks is alleged to have cashed one check in the amount of $314.17 at the Bank Of Tescott branch in the 600 block of S. Santa Fe on June 19th.

He cashed a second check at the Bank of Tescott branch at 2040 S. Ohio on July 7th in the amount of $358.11.

Total loss is placed at $842.28.
