A groundbreaking event to highlight the start of construction at Sunset Elementary School will take place October 19, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Board of education members have been invited to attend but no official board action will take place. Salina USD 305 invites the public to attend this event.

The bond was approved by voters in April 2014 and addresses district needs including safety and security, all-day kindergarten, career and technical education and improvements at both high schools.

Sunset will begin construction in November with completion planned during school year 2016-17. All-day kindergarten will be open during the 2016-17 school year.

The event is free and everyone is invited to attend. Building designs and more information are available in school offices and at the website: www.usd305.com
