COUNCIL GROVE – A Kansas man died in an accident just after 4 p.m. on Sunday in Morris County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 1999 Nissan Maxima driven by Julia C Fay, 19, was southbound on K-177, just south of F Avenue.

The Nissan crossed the centerline and struck a northbound 2002 Ford F-150 driven by Glenna J Ziegenhirt, 61, Alta Vista.

A passenger in the Ford, Robert D. Ziegenhirt, 66, Alta Vista, was transported to Wesley Medical Center, where he died.

Fay was transported to Stormont Vail. Glenna Ziegenhirt was transported to Morris County Hospital.

All were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
