GOODLAND – Two people were injured in an accident just before 11 p.m. on Monday in Sherman County.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2008 Honda Civic driven by Angelo T. Martinez, 26, Hastings, NE., was westbound on Interstate 70, just west of the K-27 Junction.

The Honda hit a 1995 Buick Century driven by Marty C. Moore II, South Fulton, TN., which was parked half off the roadway and halfway on the shoulder with no lights on.

Moore and a passenger in the Buick, Rachel D. Brooks, 26, Nashville, TN., were transported to Goodland Regional Medical Center. They were not wearing seat belts, according to the KHP.

Martinez was not injured.
