A Wichita man is in the Saline County Jail on numerous drug charges after being stopped by a deputy for speeding on Interstate 135 near the I-70 Junction late Thursday night.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said 29-year-old Matthew Aitch was stopped at about 11:40 p.m. in a 2013 Nissan for doing 87 mph. Kochanowski said Aitch had several cigarettes lit in his car and he was acting nervous. A K-9 indicated there were drugs in the car and a baggie of 390 grams of processed marijuana was found. Rolling papers, and receipts for purchase of rolling papers were also found in the car.
Aitch was booked into the Saline County Jail on requested charges of speeding, driving with a suspended drivers license, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and no drug tax stamp.
