Two people were injured in an accident at about 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the eastbound junction of Interstate 70 and Interstate 135.

Saline County Sheriff’s Captain Roger Soldan said a car driven by 54-year-old Kaleen Knopp of Abilene, was entering on to I-70 eastbound from I-135, when she struck the back of a van going eastbound on I-70.

The van was driven by 45-year-old Esther Ortiz-Rosario of Tampa, Florida.

Knopp, and a passenger in the van, 73-year-old Emma Rosario-Francisco of Tampa, Florida, were transported to Salina Regional Health Center for treatment of injuries.
