Southeast’s Montgomery Signs Letter of Intent with Washburn

Erica Montgomery made it official on Thursday. She’s headed to Topeka.

The senior volleyball standout from Southeast of Saline signed a National Letter of Intent to play at Washburn University.

Montgomery led the Lady Trojans to an overall record of 34-4 in 2015, which included a mark of 11-1 in NCAA league play. She also helped Southeast reach the Class 3A Sub-State championship in 2015, as well as trips to the Class 3A State Championship Tournament in 2012 and 2013.

In her senior campaign, Montgomery had 476 kills, 85 ace serves, 233 digs, and 52 total blocks with a .322 hitting percentage.

Montgomery is also a standout basketball player with All-State honors in Class 3A.
