There were no injuries in a two vehicle accident at a busy Salina intersection Wednesday afternoon.

Salina Master Police Office Rande Repp tells The Salina Post at the scene that a 2001 Chevy Impala driven by 15-year-old Ryan Dix of Salina was at the eastbound stop light at Iron Avenue and Ohio Street just before 2 p.m., when his foot came off the brake causing his vehicle to go out into the intersection, where he was struck by a northbound 2006 Chevy HHR driven by 50-year-old Brenda Taylor of Minneapolis.

The rear end of Dix’s Impala came to rest against a traffic light pole as a result of the collision.

According to Repp, Taylor was examined at the scene by EMS personnel, but was not transported to the hospital. Dix was not injured.
