The City of Salina Utilities Department has announced a lane closure and parking restrictions for two upcoming water main replacement projects.

Beginning tomorrow, the southbound lanes of North 9th Street will be closed at the intersection of Otis Avenue for replacement of the water main. North 9th Street will be limited to one lane in each direction. Left turns will be restricted at southbound 9th Street and westbound Otis Avenue. Work on the project is expected to be complete by December 18. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes.

Beginning Monday, December 14, parking will be restricted on both sides of 5th Street between Iron Avenue and Ash Street for water main replacement at that location. Left turns onto Iron Avenue will be restricted for southbound traffic on 5th Street. Right turns onto 5th Street will be restricted for westbound traffic on Iron Avenue. Access to adjacent properties will be maintained. Work is expected to be complete by January 8. Motorists may encounter minor delays and are encouraged to find alternate routes during this work as well.
