One woman was taken to the hospital following a three vehicle accident at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and South Street Saturday afternoon.

Salina Master Police Officer Rande Repp tells The Salina Post at the scene that a silver Toyota RAV 4 driven by 80-year-old Marjorie Morrow was traveling northbound on Santa Fe just after 12:30 p.m., when she attempted to make a lane change and sideswiped a gold Chrysler 300 driven by 44-year-old Dynelle Ceja.

Morrow then over corrected, crossed the center line, and struck a blue Dodge Durango in the southbound lanes. The force of the collision spun Morrow’s vehicle around and it struck a utility pole head on, partially knocking down a power line.

Ceja and the driver of the Durango, 33-year-old Jason Laskowski, were not injured.

Repp said that Morrow was taken by ambulance to Salina Regional Health Center for further treatment. The extent of her injuries was not immediately known.

There was no indication if any of the drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident.
