Salina Police are looking for suspects who were able to open up a register at Walmart, 2900 S. 9th, between 2 – 2:30 p.m. Friday and took $1,200 in cash. The two men and two women, who were identified through surveillance video, had a key to gain entry to the register drawer and remove the money. The suspects also were able to do the same thing at the Walmart store in Hays.

An central air conditioning unit was stolen from an unoccupied home in north Salina. The 13 seer air conditioner was taken from a home in the 900 block of N. 8th between May 15th and December 15th. The home is owned by Wells Fargo Advisors, 118 W. Iron. Total loss is estimated at $1,800.

Police are searching for a known suspect in an aggravated assault that occurred early Sunday evening. A 45-year-old man said he had gotten into an argument with another man just after 7 p.m. at a residence in the 800 block of N. 2nd. The suspect pulled a knife on the victim and then left. No one was hurt.

A Salina man reports that someone damaged his car between last Wednesday and Thursday. Steven Cassel said the back window of his 1993 Ford Taurus was broken out while it was parked at his home in the 2200 block of Quincy. Total damage is estimated at $900.

A former employee of a business who reported a company van as stolen, was arrested for felony theft. The 15-passenger van, stolen from Angel Square Inc., 115 S. Santa Fe, was taken from behind the business between December 8th and December 10th. A police officer found the van parked in the 800 block of Birch on Saturday. 26-year-old Darrel Shannon had a key to the van and had allegedly been driving it since it had been reported stolen. The van, valued at $7,000, was recovered with no damage.

Salina Police are looking for two male suspects that assaulted an 18-year-old man with brass knuckles Saturday evening. Police were called to the Chapel Ridge Apartments, 2363 Chapel Ridge, at around 9 p.m. after the suspects left the apartment where the disturbance took place. The victim suffered several cuts to his head and face, but declined medical treatment. The victim and suspects are acquainted.

A 20-year-old man was arrested early Monday morning for pulling up in a car next to a 21-year-old male acquaintance and threatening him with a gun. Joseph Graybeal is alleged to have pulled up next to the car of the victim in the 100 of E. Crawford at about 10:30 p.m. Sunday evening, displayed the gun, and then left. The victim called police and Graybeal was later arrested on requested charges of aggravated assault, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, and criminal carry of a firearm.
