A 19-year-old woman was cited for theft from her former employer. Miranda Hook was issued a notice to appear in court for taking $780 from a cash register between December 1st and December 15th while working at Walmart, 2900 S. 9th.

A counterfeit $100 bill was found in the night drop of a Salina convenience store. The bill was passed at Casey’s General Store, 725 W. Schilling, sometime on December 14th.

A Gypsum woman reports the theft of money from her neighbor’s vehicle. The woman, who lives in the 700 block of King Street, awoke at around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning to the sound of her dog barking. When she looked out the window, she saw a male suspect standing outside her neighbor’s car. He fled the area shortly thereafter. Later that morning, she discovered her garage was unlocked and $23 was missing from the console of her pickup. Her later neighbor discovered that about $20 worth of quarters, nickels and dimes were stolen from her vehicle. The Saline County Sheriff’s Office said they have no description of the suspect.
