The City of Salina has announced their schedule for the upcoming holidays.

City offices will be closed on Thursday, December 24 and Friday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday. Staff will return to the regular schedule on Monday, December 28.

City offices will also be closed on Friday, January 1, 2016 for the New Years Day holiday observance. Offices will be open on New Year’s Eve, December 31.

General Services’ holiday schedule is as follows:

No sanitation collection will take place Friday, December 25. Friday’s collection will take place on Saturday, December 26 and the regular schedule will resume Monday, December 28.

Household Hazardous Waste will be closed Thursday, December 24. Regular operating hours are by appointment only Monday – Wednesday and Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. the first Saturday of each month.

The landfill will close Thursday, December 24 at 2 p.m. and all day Friday, December 25. Regular operating hours will resume Saturday, December 26. The Landfill is normally open 7 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday – Friday and 8 a.m. – 2 p.m. Saturday.
