RUSSELL COUNTY – Four people are hospitalized after a two vehicle accident that occurred just after 12 p.m. Monday in Russell County.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, a 2001 Dodge Durango driven by 31-year-old Pedro Siguar-Larez of Houston, Texas, was westbound on Interstate 70, about a mile west of Bunker Hill.

Siguar-Larez lost control of his SUV due to slick roads, crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, and collided with a 2015 Volkswagen Passat driven by 57-year-old Cory Munsch of Hays. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch.

Siguar-Larez and Munsch were both taken to Russell County Hospital along with two occupants of Munsch’s vehicle, 24-year-old Joshua Munsch and 52-year-old Pamela Munsch, both of Hays.

All four were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the KHP.
