Salina Police have arrested as second suspect in connection with the December 21st armed robbery of the Horsemen’s Headquarters, 205 E. Pacific.

Captain Chris Trocheck said 30-year-old Nathan A. Smith was booked into the Saline County Jail Wednesday afternoon on a requested charge of aggravated robbery.

Smith is alleged to be the driver of a car that was used by Travis Moreland to getaway from Horsemen’s Headquarters after he held up the business with a handgun about 9:30 a.m. on December 21st.

Moreland was charged with the robbery along with the burglary and robbery of two north Salina motels earlier in December.

When Moreland was charged, he was in the Dickinson County Jail for charges in several cases in Dickinson County.

Captain Trocheck said it is unlikely there will be further arrests in the case.
