With no winning tickets sold in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing, the jackpot for Saturday’s drawing has reached a record $800 million. According to lottery officials, the cash option for the drawing would be around $496 million.

The $800 million jackpot, the largest is U.S. lottery history, is available in an annuity paid out over a 29 year period. The yearly payout would be around $27.5 million per year.

There have been no Powerball jackpot winners since November.

Powerball is played in 44 states, the District of Columbia, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Powerball tickets are available anywhere Kansas Lottery tickets are sold.
