Salina Police take three more reports of counterfeit money. Two $100 bills were taken Saturday night at Chili’s, 2255 S.9th. The other fake $100 bill was passed at the Lone Star Convenience Store, 100 N. Broadway, on January 7th.

Two laptop computers and a computer duster were taken from Consolidated Printing, 319 S. 5th, sometime between December 24th and December 28th. A report on the theft was made January 8th. Total loss is placed at $1,850.

A Salina woman reports the theft of three rings from her home. Beverly Reinbold said the two white gold rings that were attached to each other and a mothers ring with birthstones, were taken from her home in the 500 block of S. 4th sometime between January 6th and January 8th. Total loss is placed at $1,500.

A Salina man tells police that two personal checks he lost have been forged and cashed. Fredrick Beal said the checks were lost on December 23rd. One check was cashed for the amount of $499 and the other for $380.

Salina Police arrested a Wichita man for possession of stolen property and for being a habitual traffic violator. 31-year-old Brandon Kirksey was stopped about 3:40 p.m. at the intersection of 12th and Elm. He was driving a car that had been reported stolen from Wichita.
